Sovereign something something -sketches

Here's the design sketches for my final project at Scad, my own portfolio! It's a mechanical throne room that I have been trying to come up with the design and the name for two weeks now. I'm only half done with the design so I left a lot of open space out, hopefully it will be filled durring the coloring.

As for name, I only got one word I want to use, "sovereign." I'm trying to tie the portfolio to a concept that we reign our own decision from the day we born 'til the day we die. Still can't find any cool word to go with it though...some possibilities are ephemoral, mortal, and many more. However, they don't really sounds nifty together. I'm really picky about this one since I'm hoping it can be my permanent portfolio address for me. :)

Starwar Study

Sketches straight from Starwar Episode II art book. My teacher brought it to class, and I couldn't pull my eyes off it. I didn't really like the movie, but dang! I love the design of all the dresses in there. Man now I really must have that book...

Digital Painting

Another attempt to better myself at digital painting, a random idea I had while I was on the plane back from LA. This is more or less like a quick color study; trying to make something out of desaturated and low contrast colors. My idea got shot down right away from conceptart.org. They all say, add more contrast!!! Well it looks sweeter this way, no? XP

Here it is, my first million dollars! Heheh, another digital painting I did with photoshop. I wanted to do this image for years now and finally I did it. It's my anti-money, anti-war statement. I'll probably add guns and rockets into the money pile later when I have more time. :)

Random Sketches -3

Hey hey!, I just got back from my one week trip to LA. I had so much fun; probably one of the best time in my life!! It's these rare moments that really lifts your spirit and carries you through all the hard works later on. :D

Anyway, everything in my trip was so perfect except that I lost my ol' trusty sketch book to one of the Sixflag water rides. Fortunately, most sketches survived the rides pretty well and here are some of them. This one to the right is a cool looking clock from Savannah airport. I sketched it while I was waiting for my flight to LA.

This one is actually a new sketch from my new sketch book that I bought today. It's an Inn next to the Forsight Park in Savannah. Looks cool I think. Below are collections of sketches I savaged from my sketch book. They are mostly idea sketches from my last semester's works.

Wall Painting -2

Age pass from the wall painting below. It's like 90% complete but as they say the last 10% take half of the time, which I don't have at the moment. :)

Anyway, I just said no to a company in Savannah whom I told them I'd helped them making an animation for PBS in summer.... what can i say, I'm so lazy once the summer is here. Beside, I have no car to drive to their office too... felt bad though T_T

Random Street Sketches 2

Summer is here!, wooooooohooo~

Finally, I had time to go get a haircut... been cutting it myself for like a month now hehe. Anyway on my way back I did a quick sketch of this door which is a door of some educational ward or something. Man I love this town, so many cool stuffs all around. :)
